Where do you pick me up for a day trip?

I collect you from any hotel, hostel, Airbnb or volunteer house in Arusha or Moshi, and from Kilimanjaro Airport on request. Pickup is usually between 7 and 9 am.

What should I wear for waterfalls and hot springs?

Closed shoes with grip for the Materuni, Kinakumori and Mangalia trails, plus a swimsuit and towel for Chemka hot springs. Bring a light rain jacket, sunscreen and water; the walks are muddy after rain.

Can I join a day trip on a weekend while volunteering?

Yes. Most trips run Saturday and Sunday and can start after 2 pm for short tours like Kilimamoto, Lake Duluti or the Meru viewpoint. Message me a day ahead and I will fit the plan around your schedule.

How fit do I need to be for the waterfall hikes?

Accepted Answer

Moderate walking only: 30 to 90 minutes each way on forest paths with some steps. Children and relaxed walkers manage it easily, and we go at your pace.

How much does a day trip cost and what is included?

Day trips run from about $10 to $250 per person depending on the tour, including private transport, your guide, entrance fees and local lunch where listed. Larger groups pay less per person.
