Trekking Routes

Mount Kilimanjaro — Lemosho Route

Kilimanjaro · Lemosho

Mount Kilimanjaro — Lemosho Route

The premium, pristine route. Starts quietly on the western side of Kilimanjaro, trekking through untouched rainforest and remote moorlands before joining the southern circuit. The extra acclimatisation day gives your body time to adjust, and the gradual approach delivers stunning sunsets over the Shira Plateau — one of the highest summit success rates on the mountain.

Mount Kilimanjaro — Machame Route

Kilimanjaro · Machame

Mount Kilimanjaro — Machame Route

The iconic scenic route. Known as the 'Whiskey Route', it approaches Kilimanjaro from the south through five distinct ecosystems — rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, scree fields and icy summit. The trail's 'climb high, sleep low' profile gives excellent altitude acclimatisation, while the Barranco Wall and southern icefields deliver some of the most rewarding views on the mountain. One of the highest summit success rates and a favourite for adventurous trekkers.

Mount Kilimanjaro — Marangu Route

Kilimanjaro · Marangu

Mount Kilimanjaro — Marangu Route

The classic "Coca-Cola Route". The oldest and most direct path up the mountain, with gentle gradients and the unique comfort of sleeping in permanent wooden A-frame huts instead of tents. The trail winds through lush rainforest and alpine meadows, and the hut life means you can socialise with fellow trekkers over hot meals — a great choice for those who prefer a more supported, sociable climb.

Mount Meru Trek

Arusha NP · Mt. Meru

Mount Meru Trek

Kilimanjaro's dramatic, steep volcanic neighbour right in Arusha. The trek begins with a walking safari through the lower slopes, where you may pass buffaloes, giraffes and warthogs escorted by an armed park ranger. The crater rim walk at sunrise is the highlight, with views across to Kili on clear days — ideal acclimatisation before tackling the big mountain.

Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai — The Mountain of God

Lake Natron · Ol Doinyo Lengai

Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai — The Mountain of God

A thrilling, steep night-climb up an active volcano — otherworldly landscapes, cooling ash-flows and a jaw-dropping sunrise over the Great Rift Valley. A visit to Lake Natron and a waterfall before your trek to the summit are available upon request.

Mount Hanang — The Hidden Giant

Hanang · Manyara Region

Mount Hanang — The Hidden Giant

A rewarding, off-the-beaten-path trek up Tanzania's fourth-highest mountain (3,417 m). Beautiful ridges, lush volcanic valleys and rich cultural encounters with the Barabaig people. The quiet trails and wide-open views make this feel like a true wilderness adventure, far from the busier peaks.
